Newport Institute in San Rafael: Comprehensive Care Newport Institute in San Rafael: Comprehensive Care

At Newport Institute, insurance can fully fund all our offered treatments and therapeutic approaches. We partner with leading insurance carriers and cooperate closely with them to enhance benefits for families. A large number of young adults access our services via a Single Case Agreement, an exclusive arrangement that enables non-network providers to collaborate with a family's insurer as if in-network. We have a dedicated, full-time internal staff focused on guiding families through the mental health insurance and payment procedures. To obtain adequate coverage, we may need to complete multiple clinical evaluations and any required physician discussions with the insurer. Unlike some other centers that impose fees for this support, we consider it our obligation to help families navigate this challenging process. Our objective is to maximize insurance benefits, allowing families to receive premium-quality care.

What Sets Us Apart

Instead of just targeting symptoms and actions, our clinical framework at Newport promotes lasting recovery by addressing the root causes like trauma and attachment issues that lead to conditions such as anxiety, depression, and related problems including substance use, self-injury, and eating disorders. We apply a proven, evidence-based treatment approach with clear guidelines, session objectives, and group activities. Furthermore, we emphasize family participation, shifting the view from the individual as the issue to the family as the key to healing. Our care philosophy fosters secure relationships, enabling clients to openly explore their interests, uncover passions, and develop meaning, purpose, and understanding to replace risky behaviors.

Complete Spectrum of Services

We offer a comprehensive range of care across various locations nationwide, including residential facilities; a wide array of outpatient options such as Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and flexible outpatient sessions; virtual care; and ongoing alumni support. All our programs are accredited by the Joint Commission for Behavioral Healthcare, a highly regarded accreditation organization. Our aftercare services deliver continuous assistance through online meetings, while our active Alumni team maintains connections via virtual and physical events and support networks. Whether a young adult requires more intensive care, is transitioning from residential settings and needs structured community in our Partial Hospitalization Program, or seeks periodic after-school help through our outpatient choices, our diverse offerings meet each individual and family at their specific stage.
