An effective therapeutic atmosphere can play a crucial role in the journey toward overcoming an eating disorder. For certain individuals, this could involve a short-term stay in a treatment center to escape daily demands and concentrate entirely on their well-being. At McCallum Place, we deliver residential programs for adults 18 years and older dealing with eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating disorder. Since in-house treatment aims to foster a solid foundation in the early phases of recovery, many people spend approximately 30 days with us. During this time, they generally participate in daily group therapy, where topics are customized to meet their specific needs. Based on personal objectives, their plan may also feature medical attention, drug management, one-to-one counseling, family sessions, and diverse experiential options such as yoga, art therapy, and music therapy. We also provide a specialized inpatient option for athletes via The Victory Program.
