Our Powhatan Programs

ASAM Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP) is a treatment program for individuals with a substance use disorder (SUD) and/or co-occurring mental health disorder. IOP recommends individuals complete an average of 9-19 service hours per week with the treatment provider. IOP is a person-centered & solution-oriented treatment service that focuses on each individualu2019s needs throughout their recovery. Each clientu2019s treatment plan is specialized based on their individual needs. River City's Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) bridges the gap between residential treatment and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP). It is an outpatient structured program of care that is a great intervention for individuals that have been released from a residential program or jail and/or individuals that cannot stay sober in IOP that may need a higher level of care to support them on their path to recovery.

Our Goal and Vision

Our goal is to reduce and eliminate the impact of substance use and mental health disorders, and complex medical and psychosocial conditions on individuals, their families, and our communities. The purpose of our programs and services is to prevent overdose and overdose deaths, out-of-home placements such as emergency room visits, psychiatric hospitalizations, intensive SUD residential treatment, and incarceration, while improving the psychosocial skills and overall functioning of individuals to enhance their overall quality of life.
